About Mr Aldridge
Training
Mr Aldridge graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2002 and completed higher specialist training in both plastic surgery and dermatology in London and Scotland, passing the qualifying examinations in both. His fellowships covered skin cancer and Mohs surgery, cosmetic surgery, laser surgery and scar management, and aesthetic facial surgery. He holds a PhD in Dermatoinformatics from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Allergy from Imperial College London.

He holds consultant posts in both dermatology and plastic surgery at NHS Lothian and NHS Lanarkshire, focusing on skin cancer diagnosis, skin cancer surgery and reconstruction of the face. He chairs the South East Scotland Melanoma Multidisciplinary Team and co-authored the updated national SIGN guidelines on melanoma.
